Applause is in Order

Utah Station Refuses to Air Anti-War Ad

In a statement Saturday evening explaining its decision, KTVX
said that after viewing the ad, local managers found the content "could very
well be offensive to our community in Utah, which has contributed more than its
fair share of fighting soldiers and suffered significant loss of life in this
Iraq war."

Cheers to the Salt Lake City, Utah, ABC affiliate for not running the ad by Cindy Sheehan. The last thing in the world this women needs is to continue to spew her nonsense on and on. I applaud this TV station for being brave enough to stand on it's own and not be influenced by the other stations in the area that are running it.

See what Blogmeister has to say on this subject.

Also in the news: I love football and I got to watch my Denver Broncos play Saturday night(yeah, so what if it is pre-season, any chance to watch my team). They beat the 49ers 26-21, YAY. Tragedy though as one of the players for the San Francisco 49er's collapses after the game in the locker room. 49ers had traveled to Denver to play this pre-season match-up. See the story here. Thomas Herrion was 23 and a rookie Offensive Lineman. It will be weeks before they learn what caused his death.
