ANOTHER SILLY SONG FOR SEIBER

It's time for another silly song I sing to Parker. It doesn't really have a tune, as much as it is a sing-song sort of chant. Here goes.

Daddy just wants to take care of you.

Daddy just wants to take you to the zoo.

Daddy even wants to change your poo.

'Cause Daddy just wants to take care of you.

WHEELY GOOD SONG

As regular readers of this blog will know, I like to sing silly ditties to my son, Parker. The Wheel of Fortune is one of his favorite TV shows, so I made this song up in his honor. We used to sing it every night before Wheel came on. There are even hand motions. It is sung to the tune of "This Old Man."

LET'S WATCH WHEEL

AFTER MEAL.

SPIN IT, SPIN IT

WITH SOME ZEAL.

PICK AN A-B-C OR D.

CLAP ALONG WITH ME.

LET'S WATCH WHEEL

ON THE TV.

ANOTHER SILLY SONG

This is the song I sing to Parker at bed time. Usually, he wants me to rock him to sleep. It's a simple tune, but I can't describe the music in words.

"Parker, oh Parker it's time to go nigh-nigh.

Parker, oh Parker I hope that you don't cry.

Parker, oh Parker it's time to take a nap.

Parker, oh Parker fall asleep in daddy's lap.

Parker, oh Parker time to go to sleep.

Parker, oh Parker now don't you make a peep.

Parker, oh Parker it's time to go to bed.

Parker, oh Parker lay down your sleepy head."

SILLY SONGS FOR PARKER

This is the first song I made up for my son, Parker. I started to sing it to him while my wife was still carrying him around in her belly. It seemed an especially appropriate song of encouragement to him once we learned of his special needs. As soon as we found out we were having a boy I adapted the words to the church camp song, "My God is so big." My version for Parker, sung to the same tune, goes like this:

My son is so big

so strong

and so mighty.

There's nothing my son cannot do.

My son is so big

so strong

and so mighty.

There's nothing my son cannot do.

Parker Drew!
