Signing OFF for a While!

Thanks Dave for your very thoughtful words . Dave is a very good friend of ours in and out of the blog world. One of the very first readers I had on this site. I will be not be posting for a while as my pregnancy is taking it's toll on me and my time. My son is always at the front of my mind with the worry that he is going to be born OK. We are now scheduled for the hospital twice a week for tests, Dr's every other week and more. We have seen many doctor's besides the regular OB and we are hoping all works out. He is due on 05/10/06 but possibly will be coming up to 4 weeks earlier. The good thing is he is very active and I feel him moving a kicking on a regular basis and he is developing normally. The possible problem lies in his brain. Thank you all of my loyal readers and dear friends for sticking with me. Your hopes, thoughts, and prayers are always welcome. Until later

The Days Are Moving Quickly.....

I have 13 weeks to go and it can't get here fast enough either. 13 weeks does seem like a short time and then a long time on other days. Our baby boy is due on 05/10/06 and sometimes I fear some things like all new mothers due. Like this:

Premature Babies Have Longer Risk for SIDS
Wednesday, February 08, 2006
By Miranda Hitti

SIDS is the sudden, unexpected death of a baby less than 1 year old with no explanation from a thorough investigation.

There is more research on contributing factors that can cause this. I remember when I moved my first daughter to a separate room I would not go anywhere in the apartment without the monitor to hear her breathing. It won't be any different with my son. Yes, there are lots of different things to worry about and I should just take it day by day and step by step, but SIDS is probably one of my biggest fears.

Here is one of those factors I was talking about

High Testosterone Levels May Increase Risk of SIDS
Friday, November 18, 2005

Infants with elevated testosterone levels may face a higher risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), a new study suggests.

Researchers found infants who died from SIDS have 50-120 percent higher testosterone levels in their blood than infants who died from other causes.

SIDS is one of the leading causes of death among infants 1 week to 1 year old. Although the number of SIDS deaths has decreased in recent years due to increased awareness of proper infant sleeping position (on the back), researchers say the exact cause of SIDS is unknown

Hooters Girl Kicked Off University Cheerleading Squad
POSTED: 8:53 am PST February 2, 2006

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Kimberly Sams can't be a cheerleader and a Hooters Girl. The freshman at East Tennessee State University said she has been kicked off the cheerleading squad because of where she works. Cheerleading coach Tammy Bartow said being a Hooters Girl isn't acceptable employment for an ETSU cheerleader.

Oh you know what give me a break. If you have the boobs for the job and can make decent tips why not do it. College is expensive. It's not like she is stripping. She is a waitress. Everything is an issue today it really is ridiculous.
Sams says her coach dismissed her from the East Tennessee State University cheerleader squad three weeks ago. She says the coach made it clear a Hooters Girl isn't welcome on the team. But the school's athletic director wouldn't say why Sams was dumped.
I think something is funny here, sounds like a double standard to me. Do you think if you were unattractive with just the talent you would be on the squad? No. Squads look for talent and beauty. Obviously you aren't suppose to use that beauty outside of the squad.
