FRIDAY FAMILY FILM

Back in December I wrote that I took Parker to his first movie, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua." He liked it, laughed at the silly dogs. But we didn't make it through the whole film. Parker got restless and we had to leave early. Well, the movie came out on DVD and we purchased it this week to add it to Mrs. MM's massive DVD collection. So last night we had our first Friday family film night. And daddy got to see the ending of the movie. It is a cute film. Critics who dis the flick are missing the point. It is a family film, intended to make kids laugh and smile. And it easily achieves that goal. It doesn't need to accomplish anything else. So lighten up, already. And if you need a good Friday family film, the MM family recommends "Beverly Hills Chihuahua."

YOU KNOW YOU WANT SOME

Do you have any family traditions? One of my favorite for our family is our Sunday morning ritual of chocolate chip pancakes before church. Mrs. MM makes the world's best pancakes. Even Parker thinks so. "Pancakes" is one of his favorite words. So my stomach is salivating for my Sunday supply of chocolate chip hotcakes. It is almost time. WooHoo!
