"It would seem that science fiction is slowly turning into science fact in an 'Internet of Things' based on ubiquitous network connectivity," the report said Thursday, saying objects would take on human characteristics thanks to technological innovation.
Currently there are about 875 million Internet users worldwide, a number that may simply double if humans remain the primary users of the future. But experts are counting on tens of billions of human and inanimate "users" in future decades.

It is important that we all remember that we are in a free country because of the men and women that are currently fighting for that freedom and the ones that have fought in the past for that freedom. Next time you see a veteran walk up to him/her and thank them. You are standing on free soil because of them. My father was in the Army and still the Army Reserves. My step-brother is currenty deployed in the Middle East, he is a Green Beret. It saddens me to see all these morons on tv; actors, that twit Sheehan, and others that ridicule and and spit on these honorable people.
Of course it was, do you think the libtards of this state would let a thing like good initiatives pass? I heard New Jersey and Virginia voted in their libtard Governors. I also heard those two had really nasty attack ads. What do you expect from the left. I am very sorry to see our Governor's initiatives fail. The Unions remain in control. I voted!
The left would have you believe that the economy is in such dire straights and it is all Bush's fault. Hmmm? On my way in to work yesterday I heard the morning economic report and productivity was up and consumer spending was up. Sounds like a good economy to me. Unemployment down from 5.1 to 5.0%. I guess there was lower expectation on new jobs though. Considering my household has no money because we spend it would suggest to me that I definitely contribute to the economic growth. The Wal-Mart down the street is always packed that would also suggest to me people are spending money, hence economic growth. Doesn't sound very dire to me.
I am pregnant and it does not take much for me to get sick to my stomach. As I sit and peruse the blogs and The Drudge Report (while I eat my lunch) I come across this. It really made my stomach turn. She is going on like she has a vote in NY. Spare me. I can't stand Clinton either but to see this woman(Sheehan) anywhere near a Political office would be the downfall of civilization as we know it now. This woman is despicable. I would certainly love to see her live anywhere but here in CA. Also, keep her face off the TV.
She then offered up a challenge, urging activists to withhold their support for the popular senator unless she comes around. "It's time to tell your elected officials, 'If you're not with us, you're against us,' " Sheehan said, "and if you're against us, we'll vote you out of office.
