Supreme Court Justice?

I am so sick of this Supreme Court stuff. I am also very disappointed in the Republicans. Their lack of support of the President's first choice just makes the President look weak and feeds the fuel of the Left. As if the left doesn't have enough of their own made-up fuel. I already heard that Ted K. was making an ass of himself this morning. Big surprise. I think everybody (except the left of course) should have trusted that the President made the choice of Harriet Miers, for a good reason. President Bush is not a dumb man, even though there are idiots out there that would like you to believe it. Now we have to start this nonsense all over again and the attacks all over again. CBS with their snide remark "sloppy seconds" Oh brother. Is everybody going to be happy now because Alito has a paper trail? Whatever, I am sure that Harriet Miers would of made a fine Justice and I am sorry that she and the President had to get the bashing from their own party that they did.

Just When I Thought.......

She was gone for good that twit Sheehan continues to plague our news with her moronic views.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Cindy Sheehan, the military mother who made her son's death in Iraq a rallying point for the anti-war movement, plans to tie herself to the White House fence to protest the milestone of 2,000 U.S. military deaths in Iraq.

"I'm going to go to Washington, D.C. and I'm going to give a speech at the White House, and after I do, I'm going to tie myself to the fence and refuse to leave until they agree to bring our troops home," Sheehan said in a telephone interview last week as the milestone approached.

She is such a disgrace to her son's memory. It is pathetic really.

More Reflections from a Father to be!

See what Mr. Media Matters has to say on the subject of hearing and seeing his baby's heartbeat for the first time.

Tear! Sniffle!

I was very excited to hear it. We have had two ultrasounds and seen it twice. Yesterday was the first time we heard it though.

Faces of Innocence?

Not quite.

Oct. 20, 2005 — Thirteen-year-old twins Lamb and Lynx Gaede have one album out, another on the way, a music video, and lots of fans.

Known as "Prussian Blue" — a nod to their German heritage and bright blue eyes — the girls from Bakersfield, Calif., have been performing songs about white nationalism before all-white crowds since they were nine.

"We're proud of being white, we want to keep being white," said Lynx. "We want our people to stay white … we don't want to just be, you know, a big muddle. We just want to preserve our race."

It is so sad to see these beautiful girls warped by their mother and grandfather into believing that what they say/sing is right. I feel sorry for these girls and the future their lives hold for them.

A New Father to be!

Here are some worries from a father to be.

I think there are worries for all new parents. Even for parents on the second or third child. We all wonder what it will be like. Will we have enough money, will we be good parents. Can we teach our child everything we need to. Save for college. Make sure they brush right, eat right, worry about them when they are at school. We do the best we can and that is all that is asked of us. Children don't come with instruction manuals. SuperNanny makes it look easy though doesn't she?

Don't worry Mr. Media Matters. It will all work out.

OH Boo Hoo

I am sure the world is just holding it's breath for a look at Britney Spears and Kevin "Freeloader's" baby. I know I am.

Right and Left

I am not very political, I sometimes watch Fox New Sunday with my husband though and do follow a little bit of discussions on Politics. From what little I do know, I think all the negativity that the left hurls, just keeps hurting their own party. I think where you have swing votes are going to be the biggest hit. I think why some of the swing states went red during the presidential election was because of all the negativity coming from the left. I think that people are just getting tired of listening to it. I also think all the bogus attacks on Bush didn't help them either. I think with their continued lack of credible evidence and bogus attacks are just going to hurt them in the 2008 election. I also think whether the conservatives like her or not Harriet Miers is going to be confirmed. The Republican Senators have not come right out and said they won't vote for her, even though they dislike her. Bill Kristol said this morning that he thinks she is going to withdraw before the hearings. We shall see. I believe she is under qualifed but that does not mean she won't do a good job. On another note, I don't think I have seen anything about that twit Sheehan either. That's a good thing.

The Dumbest State!

Drumroll......
It's Arizona!
The Smartest.....
Vermont.
Ok, if you say so. I think CA was 4th or 5th for dumbest. Not surprising.
Here is the link.

Anybody like the 80's show Max Headroom? I loved that series. There was only 15 episodes. I have them all on tape. Anyway. Charles Rocket commits suicide. If you remember the show you might remember the Exec Grossberg, who had the nervous twitch. Well that was him. Or you SNL people might remember him getting fired for saying the F word on SNL. I don't watch SNL so I wouldn't know about that. I saw that though when I found his story.
Here is the story.

A New Fashion Trend?

I will admit, I love to lay around in my pajamas. How about you? I have noticed and so has my husband, that when we drive down the street, a lot of teenage girls are running around in pajama bottoms. Well I guess it is a fashion trend. This article mentions that: "There's a new fad of students." A high school in Ogden, Utah has quite a bit of students donning this cozy attire. A Principal for an elementary school goes on to say:
"There are worse things a kid could wear to school," said Ross Lunceford, principal of Hillcrest Elementary School in Ogden.

I do agree with that statement, there are worse things kids could be wearing. I don't think though that these schools should be encouraging these kids to dress this way. You want to teach your child that when they go out into the real world you will not be able to dress like that. That is if they want to get a successful job or a girl wants to find a good husband, this won't happen if they are looking like they just rolled out of bed. Pajamas are lay around the house all day wear, not public outing wear. Did I mention that my own next door neighbor looks like this. She is always going out of the house with pajama bottoms and slippers. Just tacky.

Where Were You?

Today, it has been 16 years since the Loma Prieta Earthquake shook the San Francisco Bay area and surrounding area's at 5:05 Pacific daylight savings time. They had to cancel the World Series game that day and postponed the series. I was living in Fresno at the time and remember exactly what I was doing at the time it hit because I felt it. My daughter was only 4 months old at the time and we lived in an upstairs apt. I kind of miss living in upstairs apts., because I feel the earthquakes that way. Even when I lived in my apt in Orangevale, before I was married, I was upstairs. I have felt a few earthquakes. I don't think you feel them at ground level the way you do upstairs.

So what has been going on this weekend? That twit Cindy Sheehan was in Sacramento. Guess what she was doing? Oh come on, you will never guess. Yep, the twit was protesting the war. Who would of thunk it? I think the wind has gone out of her sails for awhile. Think she will get the hint and go home now? Sacramento is only 45 minutes away from her where she supposedly lives.

I bought my first baby item this weekend. It is never too soon to get started. I bought my car seat and stroller combo. Very nice.

WAL-MART SEX OIL SALES SKYROCKET
Thu Oct 13 2005 11:41:23 ET

J&J has found warming lubricants sell well not only for Valentine's Day but also around Memorial Day and Fourth of July. "We dubbed these sex holidays," Mr. Peterson said. "And we try to line up all our promotional efforts around them."

Hmmmm? Dont you think this way makes it sound so dirty? I like the warming oils and the scents, very nice.

Baby Foods

So being pregnant again after all these years is definitely and tiring feat. I have a lot of support this time around and helpful friends. I research a lot more now than I did then and friends find stuff for me. A co-worker e-mailed me this link to an article on infant food myths. Very interesting. My daughter was a formula baby and a baby food baby until a year old. I see commercials for baby foods today and advertising for toddler baby foods. I would have to say that that is just a money grabbing ploy, I don't think babies need to eat baby foods from a jar if they are over a year old . The baby food companies try to grab you with how nutritious their toddler foods in a jar are. I would rather give my toddler some real noodles and sauce then spend money on the jar baby food. Check out the article though. I found it very interesting. A 21 month old who loves Jalapenos, too hot for me.

Illegal Immigrants

Sounds like the problem just is going to get worse before it gets better. Here is what Rosecoloredworld had to say about the subject and an article she found.

I have to agree with her. It's about time she blogged on something too!

Michael Medved, Hmmm?

Well we were on our way home from Reno and listening to Michael Medved. He was commenting on how extreme the left was on their attacks against the right and that the right was not as extreme. He put out there did anyone agree or disagree with him and what were their examples if they disagreed. He was talking about a local resident in the Seattle area (a veteran) who displayed his support for the war and Bush and how his house is always under attack. I remember it being during the election and always hearing about the attacks on the local Republican offices. Are we just a better class of people? Well in the hour that we were listening no one had an example for him about the right attacking the left as violently and offensive as the left does. One moron actually said that the right was just getting ready to put the left in boxcars and ship them off to the gas chambers. Michael is right the left is paranoid. Another story of the show was about a woman who was kicked off a Southwest flight for wearing an offensive t-shirt and of course it was a leftist and her screaming about her freedom of speech. The shirt was a picture of Bush, Cheney, and Rice, and it said "meet the F@#$%&*", I am sure you all can fill in the blanks. I am sorry but can you just here your child going mommy who are the "effers"? You know I am sorry but this is very offensive and the plane had the right to kick her off. Like I said, it just shows lack of class. I would have complained too. If it said "meet the idiots" it would not have been offensive it would have just been showing a lack of class and brains, but 4 letter words are offensive. Anyone that feels they have a right to wear something like that does deserve to be kicked off the plane.
